Deposits & Payments
To secure your booking, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit. All bookings are subject to our current availability. If your order is over £100, your final payment is due 28 days before collection or delivery.
We will create your bespoke design using the sketch and details on your booking form. We are happy for you to provide photos for reference for a certain design element or feature, but we will not copy another cake makers design. Every cake maker has their own style and we create our own original designs. We cannot make anything that would breach copyright. But you are welcome to provide your own toppers for us to put on your cake for you. We reserve the right to use our artistic licence when creating your cake. Sometimes we may need to reposition certain items or adapt the layout of your cake slightly compared to the design attached for us to be able to fit all your elements onto your cake. Signature Range cake designs are set designs and cannot be changed, but you can add your own message to your cake. If we provide you with a design/sketch, this cannot be copied or reproduced on paper or in cake form by another cake maker without our prior written consent.
Changes To Your Order.
If you wish to make any changes to your order, this must be done in person in the shop. No changes can be made within 1 month of your collection/delivery date. Changes to your order may change the final price of your order.
In the event that you need to cancel your order, your 25% deposit paid on booking is non-refundable. If you cancel within 1 month of your collection/delivery date, any other payments that have been made off your cake balance will not be refunded. Cancellation within 7 days of your collection/delivery date is not accepted and you will be liable for any outstanding balance.
Once you sign for your cake on collection, or we have delivered your cake, the cake is your responsibility. Any damage caused to your cake after it leaves our care is not EmzCakes responsibility Cakes and cake decorations are delicate; please take the upmost care when moving or travelling with your cake. If you are transporting your cake by car, please drive slowly, be aware of bumps in the road and sharp corners, keep your cake flat at all times, ideally in the boot of your car, on a non-slip mat, or with something around the cake box to stop it moving during transit. . In the event that damage to your cake occurs after your cake has left our care, we may be able to repair your cake for you for a fee depending on the level of damage and only if we have a cake decorator available and only if we have time to do so, without impacting on our current workload/orders. Store your cake in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight. Do not store your cake in the fridge unless stated on the box.
On collection of your order, you will be asked to check your cake and sign a cake acceptance agreement. If you choose not to collect the cake yourself and you send someone else, you are agreeing that you are happy for this person to check and sign for the cake on your behalf. If there is a mistake such as a spelling mistake or missing item, or something you would like changed on your cake, you must inform us at this point and we will rectify this for you. Once you sign for and take your cake, you agree that you are happy with your order. On the very rare occasion you are not happy with something, you must bring this to our attention before signing for and taking your cake. We do not accept cake returns or issue refunds for design reasons after you have signed for and taken your cake.
Other Terms & Conditions
For cakes that are to be delivered for example wedding cakes, we will ask you to confirm all of your final details again when you pay your final balance of your cake (28 days before the date of your wedding). At this point you can no longer make any changes to your order and agree that you are happy with the design outlined on your booking form and that all information on your form is correct. Most wedding cakes are finished off and assembled at your venue, for this reason we do not send photographs before the day as we want you to see the full finished product as your guests will see it on the day.
Taste is subjective, please make sure you have tried our cakes before you order to ensure you are happy with the flavour of cake you choose for your bespoke decorated celebration cake. No refunds will be issued if you do not like the taste of your cake. If there is a reason you cannot eat your cake(other than the taste), you must return at least 75% of your cake to us within 48 hours from the time of collection/delivery. You are required to cling film any open sides, and return the cake on the same board and box it was presented to you in. We will then inspect the cake and get back to you after the inspection has taken place.
Colours vary dramatically, if you wish us to use a specific shade of colour, we are happy to colour match icing for you. You must provide a physical sample we can attach to your booking form. We do not accept photos sent online for colour samples as screen colours vary.
Stand hire for our cupcake tower stands is available. It is your responsibility to return your stand to us to our Wrexham shop within 48 hours of delivery and set up. A £50 security deposit is required for hire of one of our cupcake stands, this will be returned to you on the safe return of our stand. If you fail to return our stand, or return the stand damaged we will retain your security deposit in full.
